The Library of Alexandria and the Anti-Christ Agenda - Part 1

Three Suspects
The title would seem to be an odd pairing of terms that, on the surface, have no relevance to each other. A closer look, however, through sources available to us now reveals some sinister manipulation of recorded history and there are few greater lost mysteries than the legendary burning of the Library of Alexandria. With texts written by the likes of Plutarch and Julius Caesar still surviving today, there are some glaring discrepancies of accounts related to this massive fire. To complicate matters, evidence indicates that this event may well have happened THREE times, each with a different underlying agenda. In fact, according to references in several texts researched by author James Hannam, "The suspects respectively are a Roman, a Christian and a Moslem - Julius Caesar, Patriarch Theophilus of Alexandria and Caliph Omar of Damascus."
The first account, relating to Julius Caesar, was written in his collection known as "The Civil Wars". He states that he set fire to the docks and Egyptian ships and the fire then spread. What he does not talk about is a library or a fire that destroyed literally thousands of scrolls. The well-traveled historian Strabo (64 BC - AD 21), who accompanied Caesar on his conquests also makes no mention of this "burning of knowledge"/ It has been suggested that there may well have been a political reason for not writing about this fire, allegedly started by Julius Caesar. The historian Florus, however, clearly states that it was Caesar who purposely started the fire, backed by the likes of Plutarch and even Seneca. Historian Aulus Gellius (AD 190) in his "Attic Nights", included a short passage detailing how the Royal Library was set on fire by accident and suggests that 700,000 scrolls were destroyed in the blaze.
With all the recorded evidence weighed, there appears to have been an event of some significance which transpired in Alexandria, at a time that places Julius Caesar there. What is uncovered reveals that this "Royal Library" may well have only been an "Outer Library" and merely one of several storehouses of wisdom. There is ample recorded evidence that strongly suggests many libraries were founded in Alexandria, funded by Rome. If viewed from the perspective that this fire did happen but had only a minimal impact on the stored scrolls, then it would give some validity to the suggestion that knowledge was still being gathered and stored in Alexandria afterwards.
The second "suspect" for consideration is Pope Theophilus of Alexandria (AD 385 - AD 412), a Coptic Pope described by researcher and author Edward Gibbon as , "...the perpetual enemy of peace and virtue, a bold, bad man, whose hands were alternately polluted with gold and with blood."
History records Emperor Theodosius the Great, as taking a very active role in eliminating paganism within the realm. He was all too pleased to sanction the destruction of a library that possessed wisdom which threatened his enormous power base - the church. Known as the Serapeum, it was built in honour of the god Serapis. What is noteworthy is that this god seems to have been entirely made in the 3rd century BC by Ptolemy, as an attempt to unite Greek and Egyptian religious ideology together.
Unlike the possible accidental components to Caesar's act, this second incident is clearly purposeful because its knowledge posed a threat to a newly established religion. This does give some substance to the suggestion that there was a vast quantity of knowledge stored in Alexandria, at the time when its patriarch was actively persecuting pagans. There is ample proof throughout history of religions burning any knowledge that conflicted with theirs, so it is hardly a stretch to imagine a zealot Pope, with inflated self-righteousness and the Emperor's full support, would seek its destruction. There is a third record of a similar razing, some centuries later, under the orders of Omar, the Caliph of Damascus.
Islam absorbed Egypt in the 7th century AD, with relative ease. One legend claims that when word reached him of a library with enormous array of manuscripts and wisdom, he ordered it destroyed, uttering his now-famous rationale, "...they will either contradict the Koran, in which case they are heresy, or they will agree with it, so they are superfluous."
The sources corroborating this third inferno are scarce and sketchy but noteworthy nonetheless because it is reflective of the mindset between the two possible religious suspects - destroy all knowledge that contradicts the doctrine and dogma of their particular religion.
It is only by examining the threads is it possible to see that the Anti-Christ agenda really begins, to a large extent, with Theopilus.
Dark Secrets and Lost wisdom
The amount of, and accessibility to, occult knowledge in our present day is almost beyond imagination. Spiritual seekers, who innately embody the combined core tenets of Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Christianity and a host of others, will gravitate towards a life style that promotes what they wish to see in the world around them. It is easily observed, as well, that people are stepping into their personal power, not by waiting around but by actively pursuing their particular dream. Few have not heard of the Law of Attraction claims of essentially altering the energy around a person, making them receptive to a corresponding vibration elsewhere. In most cases, that "elsewhere" is a visualization which details exactly what the need or desire is, along with the "emotional" energy - an essential in the creation process - that you would feel, if that object of desire had already manifested and you were in the act of enjoying it in some manner.
Would you consider this to be "black magic"? The entire foundation of L. O. A. is built on far older wisdom that would have been easily attainable to literate scholars, during the rise of Christianity and Islam. Hardly black magic, but one example of why occult knowledge was propogandized as a deadly threat. Can you imagine a populace being taught self-empowerment and self-determination as opposed to subservience and fear? That would definitely be a direct threat to relious "authority". And the L. O.A is relatively "white", on the polarity scale, you'd likely agree. A competent researcher of occult writings will also come across wisdom that is decidedly "black", where blood, ritual and even sacrifice are key components. Translations of obscure and unknown texts are appearing online now, as well as new archaeological discoveries. Before we can tie in the Anti-Christ connection, awareness of how detailed the workings of magic, sorcery and alchemy are in several texts is crucial, as it pertains to working with non-physical, non-human entities. This type of manipulation, attuning one's self to receive direct connection with or communication from a higher vibrating entity, is only one small branch.
Most have heard the names Dee and Kelley, without fully realizing it, as the active and driving force behind a branch that came to be called Enochian Magic. To get a glimpse into our true potential, as it pertains to working with "angels" however, the writings of the enigmatic Abremalin the Mage provide one possibility. In the forward of his translation of the text, S.L. Mc Gregor Mathers states that, "...This rare and unique manuscript of the Sacred Magic of Abra-Melin, from which the present work is translated, is a French translation from the original Hebrew of Abraham the Jew."
Clearly, this is no ordinary grimoire, if the actual operation of connecting to one's Holy Guardian Angel is any indication. The Book of the Sacred Magic of Abemalin the Mage was incorporated into both Golden Dawn and Crowley's Thelema, That "operation" alone required a grueling six month commitment, but the alleged benefits that were gained paled the process in comparison. Along with establishing a direct link with one's HGA, the text promises subservience by the four Princes of Evil, several of their subordinates, and numerous other entities that the mage can call upon to make his life easier. Other promises of this process include the gift of invisibility, the gift of flight and even the finding of treasure.
This is not wisdom that just suddenly appeared in the middle ages - it is ancient and has been held in secrecy by numerous groups and individuals, from long before any of these fires. A similar type of grimoire is known as The Goetia, allegedly containing the secrets that Solomon discovered during his workings in binding and commanding spirits. The texts catalogue 72 spirits, complete with their name, rank, their Overlord/Sovereign, their specialties and which angel has the power to imprison them. Not only that, but also a sigil to protect the magician against that entity.
It is small wonder that religion would seek destruction of such wisdom. Some researchers have opined that this isn't the entire picture - simply destroying the written word. It may have had more to do with the writings of and teachings by true practitioners. The Biblical account of Jesus includes numerous examples of "miracles", and the underpinning of Judeo-Christianity uses this as proof of his "divinity". While numerous, they were not unique. There were at least two other enlightened beings, alive at the time of Jesus who were performing amazing deeds, just like Jesus.... and more.

Incidentally, just before Columbus set out to eventually discover North America, the Pope gave him authority to claim any lands he might happen to discover in the name of Spain. Rosslyn Chapel bears engravings of maize, which only grows in North America, on it. The problem? The chapel was constructed in 1456, over three decades before Columbus' renowned 1492 voyage.

Great informative article. I will promote this for you today
So much of history is nothing but the lies of victors - bloodthirsty oppressors almost one and all.
Thanks for the efforts at finding the bits of truth concealed.
My view is that the Library may also have contained information about the fabrication of the Jesus myth, which originates as a pagan concept. Also the notion of the Universal Creator God, which Christian propaganda claims is a Jewish idea, would be seen as a pretty general idea in the pagan world well before the rise of Christianity. Great hub, which I have bookmarked.
CJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Come on, Sir - every ancient culture had a God/man sacrifice - that is something that came from within humanity for a reason.
Jesus as a myth?????????? PFFFTTTTTTTTTTT
I am glad this article is getting views now. There is a part 2 and I will promote that too for you.

Bright Sorcerer, you've certainly done your homework on this series! Here's some more:
The Roman Catholic Church has claimed dominion over the whole earth under the doctrines of Conquest and Discovery three times. With the Dum Diversas in 1452, the Romanus Pontifex in 1455, and the Inter Caetera in 1493. These remain in effect to this day.
Additionally, they've tried to ban anyone but their own clergy from owning a Bible, over 15 times. These instances include orders to burn down the house of anyone who owned a Bible, and making sure that only their interpretation of the Bible was available.
Note that the last year on this list is 1983.

The Demiurge is a corrupted aspect of our unified state of consciousness, or Nous. As dis-unified, ego-based Choices caused our state of consciousness to corrupt and fragment, the manifestations of Will took on increasingly "solid" forms rather than direct spiritual forms. This is because the transition from Nous to Demiurge, and the fragmented state its' Will demanded, could not exist in a state of being so unified and harmonious. Illusions like separation from each other (Space), and the idea that a Will other than Love could manifest things (Time) were needed to form a context in which the Demiurge's insanity could appear to produce results. This is often referred to as the Fall from Grace described in Genesis - man left a perfect state of being for an imperfect one, by his own Choice. The Choice involved taking into himself both knowledge of Good - which was everywhere at that point - and Evil, which did not yet exist. The act of "knowing" something that is not manifest is a description of a magickal act. Thus, man's Choice to create an alternative to a perfect state of being is what manifested this imperfect world. Not God. Life on this planet doesn't make a lick of sense without this understanding.
